Noise, CFM, warranties, and maintenance — everything shops need to know about the Flexzilla compressor lineup.
Flexzilla makes four air compressor categories: portable compressors (10–20 gallon, oil-free), stationary pressure-lubricated compressors (5–30 HP, single- or three-phase), gas-driven compressors with Honda engines for job sites, and refrigerated air dryers. All are built with Flexzilla's Quiet Technology and backed by an industry-leading lifetime pump warranty program.
Yes. Flexzilla stationary compressors use Quiet Technology and a patented Silencer system to reduce both high- and low-frequency noise, so the compressor runs no louder than a normal conversation. Quiet Technology also lowers pump and motor RPM while increasing CFM output. Portable models use the same tightly spec'd, low-RPM oilless pumps for quieter operation in home garages and shops.
The tanks on Flexzilla stationary compressors are manufactured in the USA, and the units are assembled in the USA using a mix of US and global components.
Yes. Both Flexzilla portable models (10-gallon and 20-gallon) use an oil-free, low-RPM twin-cylinder pump, which reduces maintenance compared to oil-lubricated pumps. They're built with the same Quiet Technology noise reduction as the stationary line and include two quick-connect couplers, an air regulator, and a 6-foot power cord.
No. Flexzilla's single-phase, two-stage 10-HP reciprocating stationary compressor delivers CFM performance comparable to more expensive screw compressors, without the cost of installing 3-phase electrical service. Three-phase versions (208/230V or 460V) are also available for shops that already have 3-phase power and want higher HP options.
Alternating compressors pair two pumps that trade off running duty, available up to 30 HP with a 120-gallon tank and an included radiator aftercooler. Duplex compressors run two full pump/motor assemblies on one shared tank for continuous high-volume air, available up to 20 HP. Both include anti-vibration pads and suit shops that need more air than a single pump can supply.
For a single-bay shop running one or two air tools at a time, Flexzilla's 5-HP, 80-gallon compressor (19 CFM at 90 PSI) is the entry point in the stationary line. Shops running multiple tools simultaneously should look at the 7.5-HP (33 CFM) or 10-HP (39 CFM) models. Multi-bay shops with continuous demand should consider the alternating or duplex lines for redundancy.
Flexzilla offers three gas-driven models powered by Honda engines: a 13-HP splash-lubricated unit with a 30-gallon tank, and two 18-HP pressure-lubricated units with 30- or 60-gallon tanks, all rated 33–39 CFM at 100 PSI. Their compact, horizontal tank profile is purpose-built for truck and trailer mounting, so crews can bring air power to remote job sites without access to electrical service.
Flexzilla recommends a bi-annual oil and filter change for most stationary pumps, with a single maintenance kit sized for two changes per year. 15-HP pump models require a larger kit built for duplex units. Kits include Smart Oil synthetic oil, air filters, Silencer filters, and an oil filter. Staying current on maintenance is required to keep the extended parts and lifetime pump warranties valid.
Smart Oil is Flexzilla's patented synthetic oil formulated to bond with the internal metal surfaces of the compressor pump. Using it improves performance, cuts energy use, reduces noise, and extends the pump's service life. It is required twice a year to stay eligible for Flexzilla's Limited Lifetime Pump Warranty.
An air dryer isn't required, but it removes moisture that causes rust, tool damage, and poor finish quality in paint or sandblasting work. Flexzilla's refrigerated air dryers chill incoming air to a 37–50°F dew point and use a 5-micron pre-filter plus a 1-micron coalescing filter to strip out oil, water, dust, and rust before the air reaches your tools.
Every Flexzilla stationary compressor includes a standard 1-year parts-and-labor warranty. Registering at compressorwarranty.com unlocks an extended parts warranty of 4 or 6 years (the 6-year option covers the standard 1 year plus an additional 5 years of parts), provided you can show proof of maintenance using Flexzilla's service kits.
Flexzilla's optional Limited Lifetime Pump Warranty covers the compressor pump for life as long as you stay enrolled in the Smart Oil Auto Ship Program. To qualify (compressors purchased after 7/1/2020): register within 6 months of purchase at compressorwarranty.com, service the pump twice a year with the Smart Oil Maintenance Kit, and keep proof of those annual purchases on file. Coverage is limited to compressor pump parts.
Yes, separately from the compressor warranty. Flexzilla's gas-driven compressors use commercial-grade Honda engines with electric start, and Honda covers those engines under its own 3-year limited warranty. Engine-specific claims are filed directly with Honda rather than through Flexzilla.
